Crocus Hill
Welcome to the Crocus Hill Speakeasy, a hidden gem nestled in the lower level of The Fairmount. This beautifully restored limestone-walled space offers an inviting escape, combining modern elegance with the charm of a bygone era. The design is a masterful fusion of sleek, contemporary elements and timeless Art Deco influences. Herringbone floors, brass-and-glass bistro shelves, Carrara marble counters with brass strip detailing, paneled appliances, and curated furnishings come together to create an ambiance that feels both sophisticated and effortlessly inviting.
At the heart of the space is the character of the original brick wall, once patched to accommodate the old coal chute and furnace. In our restoration, we stripped away layers of paint and plaster to uncover the raw beauty beneath, revealing the wall’s inherent texture and history. The aged brick transitions seamlessly into limestone, bringing a luminous freshness to the area while still honoring the structure’s storied past. Every choice—what to conserve and what to renew—was made with intention, crafting a design that bridges the old and the new in a way that feels timeless, yet utterly modern.
This is a place where history meets style, offering all the comforts and elegance one could desire for an unforgettable evening.
